Fender has just launched their Fender Next program aimed at amplifying artists as they evolve throughout their musical careers. The first for Fender and the music instrument industry the program will showcase 50 new artists representing the new face of guitar worldwide. The Fender Next program was kicked off at South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival March 14th through the 15th with their “Fender Next House.”

LG’s Inspiration Gallery Brings “Innovation for a Better Life” to SXSW 2019

This year was LG’s first time to exhibit during SXSW and they kicked it off with a bang! The LG Inspiration Gallery featured LG technologies that consisted of the LG SIGNATURE OLED TV R, a series of new AI robots, smart lighting solutions, LG’s first connected ice cream maker and the new LG HomeBrew capsule-based craft beer maker. While attending SXSW attendees had the chance to interact with their newest technology throughout the gallery. Sony WOW Studio Returns to South By Southwest with Innovative and Interactive Technology

SXSW Gaming 2019 Takes Over Austin Tomorrow!

SXSW Gaming is about to take over downtown Austin starting tomorrow, March 15th and throughout the weekend. Day one kicks off with an epic schedule of The Evolution of the Overwatch League, Halo Championship Series Invitational, Master of Games: Crafting the World of High School Esports and closing with SXSW Gaming Opening Party, presented by Blankos Block Party till 1am Friday night. The fun doesn’t stop there, SXSW Gaming will be in full gaming swing throughout Austin till Sunday’s SXSW Gaming Closing Party, presented by Alienware.

Tomorrow, March 8th, marks the opening day for the 2019 edition of South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. It’s also International Women’s Day (IWD), a day that celebrates the achievements of women and its call to action for accelerating gender equality. Kickstarter Announces 16 Films Featured at the SXSW 2019 Film Festival

At this year’s SXSW Film Festival, held in Austin Texas from March 8-16, 2019, Kickstarter Film will have 16 Kickstarter-funded films. The SXSW Film Festival runs concurrent with the SXSW Interactive and SXSW Music festivals throughout the 9 days. The lineup will feature films by Kickstarter creators, including 13 of the 131 feature-length films. Some films that will stand out to Austin locals will be the “Becoming Leslie ” film and “Nothing Stays The Same: The Story of The Saxon Pub“ however the entire Kickstarter Film SXSW lineup is solid. SXSW 2019 Film Festival is a little more than a month away and announcements of program additions are coming in faster as the first day approaches. The film festival program consists of 131 Feature Films including 101 World Premieres, 9 North American Premieres, 3 US Premieres, 64 films from first-time filmmakers, 101 Short Films (including music videos), 5 Episodic Premieres, 12 Episodic Pilots, 25 Virtual Cinema Projects, and 30 Title Design entries.

New SXSW Art Program Announcements and Programming Highlights

The third annual SXSW Art Program takes place March 8th through March 16th in downtown Austin. Attendees experience one-of-a-kind art installations by both established and emerging artists throughout SXSW venues and throughout Austin. SXSW Art Program recently announced their selections for the conference. The selections for SXSW 2019 Art program were made in collaboration with the SXSW Art Program Advisory Board including Andrea Mellard of the Contemporary Austin, Suhair Khan of Google Arts & Culture, Kim Cook of Burning Man, and more. Per SXSW, this year’s selections use technology as a vehicle to explore a variety of topics including the human spirit, cultural traditions, and how we interact with our environment.
