Sony Announces Playstation 5 Updates for the Holiday 2020 Launch

Yesterday it was announced and shared via Sony’s Playstation Blog that their next-generation console will be called PlayStation 5, and we’ll be launching in time for Holiday 2020. WIRED magazine covered these updates and more in a story that posted yesterday. Per Sony’s post, the “more” refers to a preview of the new controller that will ship with PlayStation 5. One of Sony’s goals with the next generation is to deepen the feeling of immersion when you play games. The new controller is to reimagine how the sense of touch can add to that immersion.

Sony’s “WOW STUDIO” at South By Southwest 2018

This year at South By Southwest (SXSW) Sony hosted their “WOW Studio” starting the first day of the Interactive festival. In “WOW Studio” exhibit Sony introduced ongoing projects, demos of cutting-edge technologies and its latest prototypes. SXSW Interactive 2017 Recap; Part Duex

SXSW Interactive had so many great technology demos, events and parties that carried on through the entire festival, which has been rare in the years past. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to cover all the technology events; next year I should have a telepresence to cover everything I can’t. I didn’t make it to Youtube, Pandora, Capital One at the infamous Antone’s, OtterBox uniVERSE Case System, Mashable and many more.

SXSW 2017 Interactive Recap; Part One

SXSW (South By South West) this year is the first year that I covered it solely for Hi-Tech Chic and it proved to be a very successful SXSW thus far as press. It was also the first time I did LIVE broadcasting via twitter and Facebook which was also an interesting experience for those listening, commenting and following my LIVE broadcast.
