Combining beauty and Austin’s deep love of music and culture, VINYL Beauty Bar will be opening its doors at their new centralized location at 2400 E Cesar Chavez St, UNIT 312, Austin, TX 78702. This Friday, May 3, 2024 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. guests are invited to celebrate the Grand opening of the VINYL Beauty Bar in East Austin.

VINYL Beauty Bar Grand Opening will feature complimentary services from VINYL Spahhh, including chair massages, hydrafacial consultations/lymphatic treatments and express manicures. Holistic & healthy appetizers will be provided by Simons Eats (@simonseats), and attendees can also shop new jewelry by Curiocity ATX (@curiocty_atx), live music from Jake Garcia of the Black Angels (aka DJ Satisfaction) spinning at 8 p.m., followed by performances from Pussy Gillette at 9 p.m. and Rod Gator at 10 p.m.

Public tickets are $15 presale and can be purchased here. At the door, tickets will be $20. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). Guests are encouraged to secure their tickets ASAP, as space is limited!

VINYL Beauty Bar emerged in 2018 as a fusion of Tinita and Michael Harpel’s passions: beauty, music, and the essence of Austin. With Tinita’s over 25 years of experience in the cosmetology industry and Michael’s lifelong love for collecting music, especially vinyl records, the couple envisioned a space that would embody their interests and enhance what Austin truly means to them. Their treatments include haircuts and color services featuring vegan, organic, biodynamic, gluten-free and cruelty-free products, a wide range of manicures and pedicures, coconut-based vegan sugaring hair removal, eyelash lifting, henna tinting, makeup services and spa treatments including an extensive menu of massages and facials.

All of their mani and pedi scrubs, as well as their massage oils and eco-treatments are also vegan, non-toxic, and made in-house with love and with the environment in mind. In addition to their beauty services, guests can also shop their collection of specially curated records and handmade products such as organic massage lotion candles, herbal perfume oils and body wash and lotion created in-house by the VINYL Beauty team. Guests can also shop jewelry and art prints made by local Austin artists, sip on thoughtfully crafted cocktails while they enjoy their treatments or relax at the iconic hot pink bar under a massive mural of the “Queen of Country Music” herself, Dolly Parton.
