South by Southwest ® (SXSW®) Music Festival Announces Final Artists and Lineup

Tomorrow, March 10, 2023, starts day one of South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals here in Austin, Texas. Today, South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW®) released the full list of Showcasing Artists invited to perform at the 37th annual music festival with 1,500 artists performing on 77 stages!

The SXSW Music Festival takes place over six nights from March 13 – 18, 2023 however the British Music Embassy’s 12 showcases will run from Saturday, March 11 to Saturday, March 18, split between four daytime and eight night-time shows. The BBC, Consequence, Licks Magazine tipped artists such as Brooke Combe, ALASKALASKA, Lime Garden will take to the stage, as well as multiple artists featured in NME’s ‘100 Essential Artists for 2023’, including Balming Tiger, Crawlers, Heartworms, Panic Shack, and Redolent. This year The British Music Embassy is also presenting, with BBC Music Introducing, the first ever BBC 1xtra Introducing showcase featuring British artists of color, on Thursday, March 12. The showcase includes R&B, Soul, and Aftrobeat artists Bellah, Miraa May, Obongjayar, Samm Henshaw, SIPHO, and Yazmin Lacey.

From Wednesday, March 15 – Saturday, March 18, Music, Platinum badge holders, and artist wristband holders may attend daytime showcases at the International Day Stage at 99 Trinity Street in the Registrant Lounge and from Wednesday, March 15 – Friday, March 17 at the Radio Day Stage in the Austin Convention Center, Ballroom A.

Additionally, attendees including artist wristband holders have access to iconic music Keynote speakers include New Order and Margo Price. Featured speakers include Guy Moot, Valerie June, Justin Blau (3LAU), DJ Jazzy Jeff, Killer Mike, RZA, Indigo Girls, Nick Jonas, Blxst, J.ROCC, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Rosegold, Karen Civil, Eric and Jeff Rosenthal, Kam Franklin, and more.

Also announced was Rolling Stone’s Future of Music Lineup at SXSW 2023 Future of Music showcase, taking place March 14–17 at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin. The Rolling Stone’s Future of Music four nights of music will feature French Korean singer-songwriter Spill Tab; rising R&B artist Baby Rose; rising Puerto Rican artist Villano Antillano; alt-rocker Blondshell; Atlanta pop-rap duo Coco & Clair Clair; and many more.

The SXSW Music Opening Party, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 will take place at Empire Control Room & Garage and  will feature Coco & Clair Claire, Automelodi, Ric Wilson, Venbee, Georgia Lines and RVG. The SXSW Music Closing Party, presented by Aimi, will be Saturday, March 18 at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre with UK dance producer Duke Dumont.

Lastly, Austin based music nonprofit EQ Austin is proud to be presenting two evenings of official SXSW programming that are not just open to badge and wristband holders, but all ages and open to the public as well. In addition, the organization’s community partners Austin Music Foundation and KUTX The Breaks are also presenting free showcases at The BackYard. All events take place at The Sheraton BackYard at 702 E. 10th Street in downtown Austin.
