The City of Austin Announces Cancellation of SXSW 2020 March Events Due to the Coronavirus

Even though there were concerns and petitions to cancel the SXSW 2020 Conference and Festival due to the massive spread of the coronavirus as of this morning it was still on surprisingly! Announced today, March 6th and just one week before the infamous SXSW Conference and Festival, the City of Austin have canceled the March dates for SXSW and SXSW EDU. SXSW has stated today that they will faithfully follow the City’s directions.

The Equality Act Passed in The House Today, Now We Must Work for it to Pass in the Senate and Here’s How To Take Action

Today U.S. history was made when the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass the Equality Act! The LGBTQ community has been working toward this milestone since they helped shape the first Equality Act 45 years ago with U.S. Rep. Bella Abzug.
