Julian Chang, the Miami fashion designer, just announced the launch of his namesake line’s Summer 2019 collection earlier this month. The Fall/Winter 2019 collection features tropical prints as well as jewels tone colors set against a background of black. Look for subtle nods to the 70s and touches like ruffle sleeves, retro-inspired prints, and sequins. Fabrics include the flattering and comfortable stretch material the line is known for, as well as silks and delicate lace.
As The designer explains his inspiration for the Fall/Winter 2019 collection, “For me, it was about feminine lines paired with a glamorous touch. I wanted a contrast between playfull and sexy to create a timeless look with new dimensions and balances.”
Julian Chang is available online and in select boutiques such as the W South Beach in Miami, Novocento in Los Angeles, California, as well as 600 high-end boutiques throughout the world including the Caribbean, UAE, Mexico, South America including Bogata and Santiago de Chile, England, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Croatia.

Julian Chang was born in Lima, Peru and raised in a multi-cultural environment with Latin-Chi-nese heritage. At the age of 17, Julian moved to Miami, Florida to attend Miami International Uni-versity of Art & Design. Not long after graduating, he launched his fashion label with a focus on glamorous eveningwear creating one-of-a-kind items that found their way onto Miami’s boldface names as well as celebrities such as Madonna, Gloria Estefan, Paris Hilton, and Janet Jackson, who have all donned Julian Chang designs.
Julian opened his first boutique in Miami’s Upper East Side neighborhood in 2009, and has an atelier where much of the line is made in Miami’s Little River neighborhood. Julian has received numerous awards and accolades including Miami Fash-ion Week’s “Prêt-a- Porter Designer of the Year,” The Ebenezer Award of Honor World Fashion in Korea, VOGUE LaTam’s “Designer’s Choice Award,” Cadillac’s “Luxury Lifestyle Award,” and WWD has called Julian Chang a “designer to watch.”
