Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator Cohort 5 Update

Today I received the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator Newsletter and wanted to share with you all their new technology projects in the final stages. They are also now accepting applications for their next 3-month Entrepreneurs In Residence (EIR) cohort program.

Below is their Cohort 5 Update and also more information on the 3-month Entrepreneurs In Residence (EIR) cohort application.

HAAS Alert

HAAS Alert are putting the finishing touches on their final projects with Jaguar Land Rover, including a film of their Live App in a Jaguar XJ and user tests of their product in our vehicle simulator. In the meantime, they’ve been busy signing up new cities to use their platform.

Mycroft

While Mycroft is hard at work shipping their first product, the Mark 1, they are finalizing an integration into a Jaguar F-TYPE that will demonstrate their product’s capabilities.

OpConnect

OpConnect is making strong progress on finalizing a new release of their product which will enable greater visibility and management of electric vehicle charging stations. The functionality of their product is now also entering the markets for home charging and charging storage.

LISNR

LISNR and Jaguar Land Rover engineers have successfully completed a first proof of concept, controlling a key fob using LISNR’s high frequency audio protocol. This is the first time a car has been remotely locked and unlocked using sound.

PILOT

PILOT has taken a few weeks to return to their homes in Latvia for the traditional midsummer celebration. While away, they’ve been making great progress with computer vision, machine learning, and mapping projects that will provide the foundations of their autonomous and driver assistance systems.

Diversity & Inclusion

In their continuing efforts to support underrepresented founders in the local Portland tech community, they are now accepting applications for their next 3-month Entrepreneurs In Residence (EIR) cohort.

Applicants for the EIR program must be early stage scalable tech startups with one founder from an underrepresented community. Companies can be no larger than two employees, will have raised less than $500k in funding to date, and founders must be able to be physically present in the Jaguar Land Rover Tech Incubator space at least 75% of the time they are in the program.
