Since 1989, Waterloo Records music lovers have visited their West 6th and Lamar location to find the latest album drops. Now the iconic music store is relocating to a much larger spot just down the steet at 11th and Lamar.
Waterloo’s new 9,500+ square foot store expands on the 43-year legacy of this Austin staple. It introduces new activations to support and celebrate creators, including new studios, gold record plating, a new live & taped performance space with state-of-the-art equipment, and much more.
To kick off the new store at 1105 North Lamar, Waterloo Records is hosting a grand opening on Saturday with a full day of celebrations from 9am-9pm. The day will be full of performances from famed DJs from the area, giveaways of concert tickets, gear and swag every hour, and a UT Tailgate in the back with local Austin food & bev brands.
