Camden International Film Festival Announces New 12-Day Creative Virtual Experience And Livestream Events For Fall 2020

This year film festivals have had to change their game plan by moving to virtual and Livestream events due to the pandemic. The Camden International Film Festival (CIFF) organized by Points North Institute announced new plans for the 2020 festival with the goal to directly support independent filmmakers and collaboratively create spaces for community-building, organizing and collective imagination. This year’s CIFF and Points North Forum will a 12-day creative virtual experience with dozens of Livestream events, alongside the launch of the festival’s very own drive-in movie theatre, and screenings at a small number of reduced-capacity theatres in Maine.

Vail Film Festival and Stage 32 Partner for the 2020 Festival

Since the cancellation of Film Festivals as of March Stage 32 has been screening over 100 features, shorts, and episodic pilots from SXSW, Tribeca, and Telluride Mountainfilm Documentary Festival throughout their network. Announced today, Stage 32 is adding the infamous Vail Film Festival (VFF) to the Stage 32 Screenings lineup. Stage 32 also announced that they are the official networking and education partner of the Vail Film Festival.

SXSW and Amazon Announce “Prime Video Presents The SXSW 2020 Film Festival Collection”

Ever since SXSW 2020 was canceled filmmakers and musicians have struggled to get their new project out to the public. Announced today, Amazon Prime Video and SXSW are joining forces to launch “Prime Video presents the SXSW 2020 Film Festival Collection,” following the unprecedented cancellation of the SXSW Conference and Festivals by the City of Austin due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus.

SXSW Film Festival Announces 2017 Features Lineup

Being an Austin native and living downtown SXSW is a big deal and fortunately I get to cover portions of it as press. The excitement for SXSW 2017 keeps revving up in Austin as it gets closer especially when they have new announcements.
