Throughout 2018 there has been a total of 7,579 California Wildfires that has burned an area of 1,667,855 acres (6,749.57 km2), the largest amount of burned acreage recorded in a California fire season, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the National Interagency Fire Center. Though President Donald Trump has approved a Major Disaster Declaration for the California Wildfires victims still need assistance as they rummage through what is left of their burnt home.
