Austin Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Annual OneParty Fundraiser & Gala to Take Place May 3rd

This year’s JDRF Austin (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) annual OneParty fundraiser for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is on Friday, May 3rd, 2019. T1D is a chronic, autoimmune disease in which your pancreas produces little or no insulin. It is a life threatening disease and affects over 1.25 million Americans, many of which are kids which makes it even more heart wrenching. Type 1 Diabetes, however, does affects all ages ranging from 3.5 years old to 35 years old.

GOAT’s Dockless Electric Scooter Company Has Launched in Austin

There has been a dockless electric scooter controversy in Austin since Bird Rides and LimeBike launched in early April. Per the Austin American Statesmen, Bird Rides and LimeBike had to stop scooter rentals in Austin due to the emergency ordinance that allows city workers to impound any of the scooters left on city rights of way if their owners do not have a permit and levies a $200 fee for each impounded scooter.
