Today, Blurring Books announced the release date of July 30, 2024 for “Big Shots!! Volume 2. More Shots From The Worlds Of Music, Fashion And Beyond” by photographer, Phillip Leed, and Foreword by record producer, singer, songwriter, rapper, and fashion designer, Pharrell Williams. The “Big Shots!! Volume 2” book is a new collection of photographs that captures the faces from the epicenter of popular culture captured by Phillip Leeds using his Polaroid camera.

The Volume 2 book comes after the release of Phillip Leeds critically acclaimed & wildly popular book BIG SHOTS! (Rizzoli) in 2017. Drawing similarities from Andy Warhol’s Red Books which included 203 intimate, snapshot-style images of the eclectic world of artists and celebrities in the 70’s, “Big Shots!” captured current artists and celebrities in pop culture of the time.  It offered a visual from the worlds of art, music, fashion and popular culture from 2004 through 2016 that was shot Phillip with a vintage Polaroid camera called The Big Shot.

Volume 1 featured Rita Ora on the cover and contained over 400 portraits including global icons such as Lewis Hamilton, JAY-Z, Beck, Pharrell Williams, Andre Leon Tally, A$AP Rocky, Black Thought, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, David Byrne, Jeff Koons, Justin Timberlake and Snoop Dogg.

In a new collaboration with Blurring Books, Leeds is set to release BIG SHOTS!! Volume 2: More Shots from the Worlds of Music, Fashion and Beyond, a new collection of photographs that captures the faces from the epicenter of culture. A compilation of previously unpublished work, Phillip has continued documenting some of the biggest names in popular culture as well as behind-the-scenes tastemakers and influencers. BIG SHOTS!! Volume 2 offers more than 500 color Polaroid portraits.

Featuring GRAMMY award winner SZA on the cover, the book includes foreword by global music and fashion icon, and multi-GRAMMY winner Pharrell Williams. This volume includes portraits of Chris Rock, Lee “Scratch” Perry, James Lipton, Brian “KAWS” Donnelly, Dave Grohl, George Clinton, Sister Nancy, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, Ari Melber, John David Washington, Mike Ness, Ndaba Mandela, Megan Thee Stallion, Swizz Beatz & Alicia Keys, plus countless others.

The original Polaroid images of these world-renowned subjects have been showcased from New York City, to Tokyo, to Hong Kong. In November 2023, BIG SHOTS! photography lined the walls of the HK outpost of lifestyle brand, Pleasures, accompanied by a book signing by Phillip Leeds, for the apparel company’s N.E.R.D. capsule collection.  BIG SHOTS!! Volume 2 provides readers a unique vantage point into an era of music and fashion by Phillip’s camera and shared through the ever-nostalgic format of the Polaroid.

Phillip Leeds is a photographer as well as a veteran of the music and fashion industries. Born and raised in New York City, Phillip has been an avid photographer since his teens but only began to publish his works in 2017 with the release of his first book BIG SHOTS! Pharrell Williams is a musician, fashion designer, and overall global creative force.
