In celebration of the 30th anniversary of his revolutionary debut album, Illmatic, Nas is debuting a dynamic new 30 Years of Illmatic merchandise collection. The 30 Years of Illmatic collection features t-shirts, sweats, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, a leather jacket, a hat, a postcard set, a button pack and an air freshener.

On April 19, 1994, Nas launched his first studio album, Illmatic, released by Columbia Records. Illmatic sold 63,000 copies in its first week and hit number 12 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The 30 Years of Illmatic Collection pieces not only pay homage to the critically acclaimed music, but to his Queensbridge roots that are so poetically illustrated within it. In fact, Illmatic has been recognized by writers and music critics as a landmark album in East Coast hip hop.

The artwork featured in the collection has been individually painted and hand drawn by artists Artists Andrew Agutos, Esteban Whiteside, Rushad Kolah and Samborghini. The collection’s creative direction is by Kiran Goraya Ilic with art direction by Carlos Valdez via Bravado UMG. Print placement on the pieces has been dialed up to elevate the finished product further, giving a fresh new perspective & modernity to a classic.

The New York Senate recently commemorated Illmatic, stating: “Nas’ debut album ‘Illmatic’ is the crown jewel of the mid-90s classics that still define the genre; unlike other albums released in its wake, ‘Illmatic’ was the game-changer that forever transformed the landscape of East Coast hip-hop.”

All products are exclusive to Nas’ e-com and dropped on April 19th – 30 years after Illmatic shook the music industry.
