Introducing Louis Vuitton’s First Connected Watch: The Tambour Horizon

This week one of my favorite brands, Louis Vuitton, announced the launch of their first connected watch, the Tambour Horizon Connected Watch. The Tambour Horizon Connected Watch is made of a stainless steel polished case with a Sapphire glass Louis Vuitton logo’d caseback. The screen is made of Sapphire glass with a black 24 hours ring and AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 390×390. It comes with an interchangeable strap equipped with Louis Vuitton patented system with a stainless steel ardillon buckle.

The Tambour Horizon Connected Watch is water resistant to 30 meters and has an average battery life during normal usage of up to 22 hours. The Operating system for the connected watch is Android Wear 2.0 and its compatibility includes:

  • Android 4.3+
  • iOS 9+
  • Smartphones running Android 4.3 or higher
  • iPhone 5 or later running iOS 9 or higher

The Tambour Horizon Connected Watch connectivity is Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. The watch can pair with your mobile device with the Louis Vuitton Pass App.

To connect your watch to the Louis Vuitton Pass App follow these below steps:

  • Step 1. Scan your watch QR code with your LV Pass app
  • Step 2. Create or log in to your MyLV account
  • Step 3. Unlock exclusive watch faces on your Tambour Horizon
  • Step 4. Access exclusive content on your app

The watch comes with a 2-year international limited guarantee and currently priced at $2,450 on the Louis Vuitton site. They have several different stles for men and women including different straps and screen colors.

They also have this really stylish battery charger for the Tambour Horizon Connected Watch priced at $195.00 on their site. The likelihood of them sending me one of these to review is nil to none but maybe one day!
