How to Watch the Met Gala 2023 with Vogue

Met Gala, the annual fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute organized by Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, will take place on May 1, 2023. Celebrating the full work and life of Karl Lagerfeld, this year’s Costume Institute exhibition, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” In line with the exhibition, this year’s dress code is “in honor of Karl.”

Throughout his career, Lagerfeld designed for many houses including his eponymous brand, Patou, Balmain, Chloé, Fendi, and Chanel. The “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” exhibition will have more than 150 pieces on display, many of which will be accompanied by Lagerfeld’s sketches.

Just like previous Met Galas, fans can follow all the action on Vogue’s livestream for the 2023 event. The red carpet will be live-streamed on Vogue.com on May 1 throughout the night and will also be broadcasted live across our digital platforms (as well as on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter). It begins at 6 p.m. EST. This year’s livestream co-hosts are La La Anthony, Derek Blasberg, Chloe Fineman, and special correspondent Emma Chamberlain.
