Gibson Announces Gibson Alliance And Gibson Generation Group

Gibson made another great announcement this summer with two new programs; one for its iconic artists, the Gibson Alliance and the second for emerging musicians, the Gibson Generation Group. The Gibson Alliance gives legendary and visionary musicians across genres the opportunity to help guide the future of Gibson. For the new Gibson Generation Group (the “G3”) Gibson will invite a select group of young musicians to join the group.

Below are the details for both the new Gibson Alliance and Gibson Generation Group.

Gibson Alliance

Gibson Alliance artists will have a voice on product development initiatives at the recently launched Gibson Lab and the ability to introduce partners inside and out of the musical instrument industry for creative, collaborative opportunities. Gibson will support important projects for Alliance artists, fund charitable initiatives, as well as contribute to programs that help the community through the Gibson Foundation. Alliance artists will identify and actively support emerging, young generations of new players across all demographics.

“The Gibson Alliance is an important platform for bringing Gibson and Gibson artists together on everything Gibson across the board,” says Slash.

“I am absolutely thrilled and humbled to be able to share my ideas, and my passion for music as a part of this community,” says Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. “We are the ones responsible for passing the torch to the next generation of creators and I plan on not only burning bright, but lighting this world on fire.”

“What a blast to stay in step with the fabulous Gibson brand on six-string things and welcome the arrival of the new ‘Gibson Alliance,’” adds Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. “A very inviting moment for players of all makes and shapes to enjoy the gathering of artists around the planet!”

Gibson Generation Group:

The goal of the G3 is to create a platform to nurture new generations of guitar players and propel them to the main stage. The Gibson Generation Group program is a two-year curriculum with the first G3 class due to graduate in the Summer of 2021.

The Gibson Generation Group gives new talent the opportunity to meet with and receive global support from Gibson’s leadership team, luthiers and Entertainment Relations teams. G3 artists will be showcased at Gibson sponsored festivals and shows, create demos, perform at dealer clinics, create content with Gibson production team and be endorsed and showcased as a G3 member across Gibson’s social channels reaching hundreds of millions of viewers globally.
