Formula E Documentary ‘And We Go Green’ to Premiere at Cannes Film Festival

On May 23rd a new documentary on ABB FIA Formula E Championship shows how sport can have a meaningful social impact premieres’ at the Cannes Film Festival. The new Formula E documentary titled ‘And We Go Green’ will take viewers behind the scenes of the electric street racing series and highlighting the purpose of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship as a proving ground for electric technologies in a bid to combat climate change and air pollution.

Air Pollution is a global health hazard and bad outdoor air caused an estimated 4.2 million premature deaths in 2016, about 90 percent of them in low- and middle-income countries, according to the World Health Organization. Given those estimates it would be nice for the public to see what initiatives are being done by Formula E.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Fisher Stevens and Malcolm Venville, the highly-cinematic documentary ‘And We Go Green’ uses intimate character-driven storylines and unseen race footage from Jean-Eric Vergne’s championship-winning season.

In collaboration with Appian Way, Bloomfish Productions and RadicalMedia – ‘And We Go Green’ will screen at 18:45 on Thursday, May 23 at the Salle 60eme during the Cannes Film Festival.
