Announced this week, The Diamond Bros, in partnership with Meta, are producing and directing an end-of-year immersive VR concert experience, BLACKPINK: A VR Encore.
On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, fans will get to step into a world where technology and music unite for a K-pop extravaganza like never before. BLACKPINK: A VR Encore catapults fans right into the heart of Seoul, filmed at the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] finale show at the Gocheok Sky Dome. Grab your Meta Quest headset and get ready to be mesmerized by the energy of the world-famous K-pop superstars, BLACKPINK, sharing their global impact and celebrating the transcendent power of their music through their first concert in VR.
BLACKPINK: A VR Encore will premiere in VR on Tuesday, December 26 at 5:00 pm PT in Meta Horizon Worlds as the can’t-miss event in the lead-up to the New Year with BLACKPINK bringing their unforgettable tour to life. Attendees can RSVP for the event HERE. Please note, if you’re not able to join the event when it starts, replays will be available for another month in Meta Horizon Worlds after the concert.
The immersive VR concert experience will include BLACKPINK’s most popular hit songs from the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] including “Shut Down,” “Pink Venom,” “How You Like That,” and more. Members of BLACKPINK include JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA. The 70-minute concert special is custom-made for VR, produced and directed by The Diamond Bros in partnership with Meta. The show was filmed to give the audience a first person experience of being in Seoul at the Gocheok Sky Dome and a front row seat for the final sold-out concert of the tour.
The concert will be exclusively available in VR at the Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley which offers the ultimate music festival experience in virtual reality. This free social experience is available for Meta Quest VR headset owners in select regions and will give music fans a front row seat to incredible performances from BLACKPINK as well as many other artists.
