Austin Startup Week 2017 Information

Austin Startup Week is October 9–13, 2017 and showcases Austin Startups. It’s five days of events celebrating Austin startups, the organizations, and meetups that support them.

I have been covering Austin Startup Week week since 2014 when I moved back home to Austin, after all, Hi-Tech Chic is a Startup. It’s an exciting and motivating week where organizations and startups open their doors, put on events and roll out the red carpet for both locals and visitors who are interested in learning more about the startup scene in Austin.

The networking is also a key factor of Austin Startup Week, it’s fantastic to meet local Startup owners from all over Austin and seeing how enthusiastic they are of their startup. It truly inspires you if you are a small business or startup owner.

Austin Startup Week is free and open, but you must register here to attend. The schedule for Austin Startup Week is posted and you can locate it here. When registering you will need to create a profile to start building your schedule. Note that events are expected to sell out, so make sure to RSVP.

The Austin Startup Week 2017 lineup has over 100 events consisting of morning coffees, a startup career fair, educational panels, regular meetups, happy hours, workshops, a Battle of the Tech Bands and a “startup crawl” where companies serve up culture and tours. Almost all of the 100+ events organized in 2017 are free and open to the public no badges required.

A unique factor about Austin Startup Week is if you want to move to Austin they will fly you here. Not kidding! They are looking for people who want jobs in tech or have a startup and are interested in possibly relocating to Austin, Texas. To learn more about this program click here.

As stated before tickets for Austin Startup Week are free, and again you can register here. If you’d like to support the Austin Startup Week team, you can do so by grabbing a pay-what-you-can ticket to support the DivInc organization located here.

DivInc is a pre-accelerator focused on championing diversity in the tech startup ecosystem. The nonprofit’s mission is to help foster the growth and development of ethnically diverse and women-led tech companies. More at: https://divinc.org/.
