Trollbeads Kick-Off 10th People’s Bead Competition

Trollbeads is a Danish family-owned jewelry brand that invented the original bead-on-bracelet concept. This year is Trollbeads 10th time they host the People’s Bead event. People’s Bead is a bead inspired by people, designed by people, and selected by people. People’s Bead is one of their most popular and unique events where the general public can become a Trollbeads designer.

In celebration of the 10th People’s Bead Event, Trollbeads kicks off the year’s People’s Bead event by asking you to vote for the theme of the year. New this year, Trollbeads has asked the previous winners of People’s Bead to come up with suggestions for the theme. Their question in regards to the theme include; what would you like to see or maybe design yourself?

The voting period for the theme is from March 5th – March 12th 2018. To vote please visit: http://www.peoplesbead.com/2018. Also, for the first time this year YOU can decide the winning bead all the way! See timeline below.

There are many ways to create your bead design: craft your bead in clay or wax, sketch it on paper, or produce a design in Photoshop, whatever works best for you. Remember to show how the bead is placed on a bracelet and make sure you consider and show where the chain goes through. The hole is approx. 4 mm wide, and this needs to be incorporated in your design in correct proportions. Please show them your design from more than one angle. You can upload up to 4 different images of your design to help illustrate.

  • Upload your design image(s) and tell us what inspired you and why this spectacular design is the perfect expression of the theme.
  • When people visit your design page, they have the chance to give it a boost. In the finals people will be able to see, how many boosts a design has received.
  • When you have uploaded your design, it is time to show it to as many as possible. They can sign in to boost your design. Share it on your various social media accounts.
