The World’s First GaNFast 20W Fast Charger for iPhones To Launch in Late August

This summer it has been rumored that Apple’s iPhone 12 will be released without a standard 5W charger and the Pro models to be without the 18W charger as making consumers look for a new charging solution. In late August, Spigen will be releasing a 20W GaN USB C wall charger specifically designed to charge the new iPhone 12 at the fastest speed possible while being the smallest and first 20W GaN charger. The 20W ArcStation Pro is a compact high-powered charger that is capable of charging the new iPhone 12 line at the fastest speed possible using USB C to Lightning connection.

It is produced with Gallium nitride (GaN), a compound that is 1,000 times more efficient than silicon and capable of taking higher temperature limits. The official name of the wall charger is the Spigen PowerArc 20W ArcStation Pro and dimensions (Not including the plug) are 1.55 x 1.35 x 1.1 inches.

This is noticeably smaller than the current 18W Apple wall charger which is not a GaN charger and measures in at 2.64 x 1.26 x 3.27 inches (with a non-retractable plug). Finally, the standard 5W iPhone Charger measures in at 2.6 x 78.74 x 30.48 mm (with a non-retractable plug). The 20W ArcStation Pro sizes in much smaller than the 18W charger and somewhat close to the 5W if the plug was retractable.

It has also been rumored but not confirmed that Apple will also be releasing a compact 20W charger with similar specifications as Spigen’s; however, theirs will be differentiated by size.

The Spigen PowerArc 20W ArcStation Pro will be available on Amazon.com (at the end of August) prior to the launch of the iPhone 12. Website newsletter subscribers will get 20% off code until Aug 23rd here: www.spigen-powerarc.com.
