The Met Gala, the annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, takes place on May 6 in New York, corresponding with the opening of the museum’s new fashion exhibit. Announced today E! will go “Live From the Red Carpet” at the 71st annual Met Gala for a newly extended four-hour live television event beginning at 5pm ET/ 2pm PM. E! will also provide extensive digital and social coverage for the Met Gala.
E! will give viewers an up-close look at all the avant-garde and extravagant ensembles themed to “Camp: Notes on Fashion” as well.
The first wave of 2017 Billboard Music Award winners were just announced. Per Billboard the rest of the honorees will hear live during the show tonight at 7:00pm CDT on the ABC Channel or live stream on ABC.com.
