Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition Coming Soon!

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) was launched in 1991 and introduced classic games like Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid and F-ZERO. I remember it like yesterday when my original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and its gaming cartridges became obsolete as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was launched. Everyone HAD to have it and seemed to be an over-night success. The console introduced advanced graphics and audio to be competitive with current gaming console on the market like Sega. The development of a variety of enhancement chips integrated in game cartridges helped to keep it competitive in the marketplace.
