CES 2019 was a big win for Dell with nine CES 2019 Innovation Honoree Awards. The wins were throughout its Alienware, Dell Precision, XPS, Latitude, Gaming and Displays portfolios. The accomplishments didn’t end there as Dell received two U.S.Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awards for its recycling and circular gold initiatives. As the holidays are creeping up on us so is the CES show in January 2017. CES is an annual convention in Las Vegas that showcases the latest and greatest consumer technology. Every year I say this is my last CES and every year like clock work I end up attending CES. CES wouldn’t be so bad if there was less distances between events but it’s Vegas baby! What do you expect?
It was recently announced that Aisha Tyler will be the CES 2017 Brand Ambassador. I think it’s fantastic to have a female brand ambassador at CES which until recently was the good ol’ boys club. I’m not sure yet where she will be during the entire show; on the show floor or private briefings and events. As soon as I do know I will post on Cutegeek.com, Hi-TechChic.com and Twitter (@nrpena, @cutetgeek, @hitechchic)
- October 19, 2016 – Conference registration opened

- December 20, 2016 – No refunds or cancellations after this date
- December 21, 2016 through January 8, 2017 – $300 registration fee
Los Angeles, CA – The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ announced that actor, director, author and comedian Aisha Tyler will be the CES® Ambassador for 2017.
Aisha Tyler defines the term multi-hyphenate, by working simultaneously in multiple media formats. She is host of CBS’ Emmy-winning The Talk, a series regular on CBS’s Criminal Minds, the voice of superspy Lana Kane in FX’s Emmy-winning Archer and host the CW’s comedy improv show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” An avid gamer and tech enthusiast, Tyler is a one-woman content machine, in engineering, hosting, conforming and editing her award-winning podcast, Girl on Guy, and also in directing, producing, shooting, and editing multiple short films, music videos, comedy specials, and recently, her first feature film.
“I can’t think of a more perfect ambassador for CES than Aisha Tyler,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, CES and corporate business strategy, Consumer Technology Association. “Aisha has torn down barriers for women and diversity in technology, effortlessly integrated and encouraged the use of tech in everyday life and redefined what it means to be a ‘gamer.’ CES encompasses every aspect of tech and Aisha is a superb example of how innovative technologies can be positive influences in our lives.”
Aisha’s podcast was chosen by iTunes as a best new comedy podcast of 2011 and has more than 17 million downloads to date. She produces and engineers the podcast with nothing more than two microphones, an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
“As a podcaster, author, producer and filmmaker, I can attest to how technology has not only made my life better, but more creatively robust, dynamic and productive in every way,” said Tyler. “I recently directed my first feature film in just seven days on a microbudget, and technology played into every aspect of completing that creative mission effectively. Technological innovation is my artistic secret weapon. I am incredibly honored to be the CES ambassador for 2017.”
