Currently, one of the fastest-growing categories in high tech retail is beauty, makeup, and skincare. While at CES 2019 there were several beauty and health products acknowledged for their innovation. Below are just a few we saw that stood out to us while at CES 2019.
VOLO Beauty Go Cordless Hair Dryer
The VOLO Go is a salon-quality hair dryer that can go anywhere and three times as energy-efficient as a traditional dryer. The innovative technology VOLO Go uses infrared heat to provide an extremely gentle, healthy heat styling experience. Using healthy infrared heat and lithium-ion batteries, the Go is as effective as a salon hair dryer.
VOLO Beauty is a CES 2019 Innovation Award winner and announced the launch of pre-orders for the product on Kickstarter (link). The launch of the hair dryer follows in the footsteps of VOLO Beauty’s successful Indiegogo campaign for the brand’s innovative hair towel, the VOLO Hero, which holds 10 times its weight in water. VOLO Hero will soon to be available on the VOLO Beauty website and Amazon.

Launched at CES 2019, Lunata is the world’s first cordless, rechargeable, convertible curling iron that can be conveniently turned into a curling wand. The haircare tool features a 32mm titanium barrel with a removable clip that slides on and off the wand, adapting it from traditional curling iron to clipless curling wand for different looks. The removable clip turns your wand into a traditional curling iron with a titanium barrel for even heat distribution and long-lasting style.
The Lunata wand features two modes: cordless, battery-powered mode for portable use, as well as plugged in mode for professionals, or for when the battery runs low. The battery is also removable and rechargeable, and consumers can carry spares as well. It lasts 45 minutes fully charged and charges in 2 to 3 hours. It heats up to 450 degree Fahrenheit and had dual voltage.

SalonLab is a transformative digital care consultation approach for salon professionals that provides a precision, data-driven, highly personalized care service and product recommendation based on analysis of inner hair condition parameters.
The NeoSpectra-Micro is customized for the SalonLab Smart Analyzer, a handheld component of the system that resembles a small hair iron, which is used to scan the inner hair condition parameters. The resulting data is then transmitted to a computer tablet application and translated into a service and product recommendation for Schwarzkopf Professional care products.
