Announced this week, Express, one of the largest U.S. fashion brands, has a new capsule collection designed by Karla Welch. Page Six has confirmed that Karla Welch has partnered with Express on a 20-piece capsule collection of mix-and-match summer staples. The line will include items like slouchy linen blazers, ribbed tank dresses, boxy short-sleeved button-ups and mechanic-style jumpsuits. The collection designed by Karla Welch is clothing non-famous folks can actually afford and priced from $19.90 to $128 at Express stores and online which a launch of July 17th.
Per Page Six the range was primarily inspired by her own personal style with inspiration from her celebrity clientele.
“The tank tops, too, are really an Olivia shoutout,” Welch told Page Six Style. “Because for years, she’s been like, ‘Make me a good tank top!’ So those are for her. But also, they’re pieces that, from years of styling, I felt like I needed and saw that other people would need too.”
Some of our favorites of the Karla Welch 20-piece capsule collection at Express include the Notch Collar Boyfriend Blazer, High Waisted Light Wash Bell Flare Jeans and the Snake Double O-Ring Belt for some extra outfit flare!
“The key is to wear it with something high-waisted, or stick a blazer on top and wear it with jeans; it can just be a little pop,” Welch assured Page Six of the latter. “You kind of feel like a baller once you do it!”
As stated in the Page Six article the Karla Welch collection at Express is available starting on July 17th. To check out her Express collection summer picks before the launch here: https://www.express.com/blog/features/karlie-kloss-summer-picks.
