If you are in Austin this weekend over the Memorial Day weekend, celebrate with Andrea Magee’s Music Helps Birthday Bash on May 25, 2024. Hosted by Austin-based musician Andrea Magee and benefitting local nonprofit organization, Music Helps ATX, the birthday show will take place at the infamous Saxon Pub, (located at 1320 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704). The evening will feature a performance by Magee and some special, surprise guests. Doors are at 7:30 p.m. and music kicks off at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
Led by Andrea Magee, Music Helps ATX is a nonprofit organization committed to leveraging music as a force for positive transformation. Music Helps employs a range of initiatives and programs aimed at harnessing the therapeutic power of music to uplift and support individuals in challenging circumstances.
Through endeavors like delivering weekly music workshops at Helping Hand Home for children who have suffered from severe abuse and trauma, Music Helps has witnessed remarkable results, spreading hope and healing through the universal language of music.
Proceeds from this concert will benefit Music Helps, a nonprofit organization in Austin dedicated to supporting local musicians and providing healing through music. In addition to their work with musicians, Music Helps also hosts weekly workshops at Helping Hand Home for Children, where they use the power of music to provide healing for children who have experienced trauma. These workshops create a safe space for children to express themselves and find comfort through music.
