Apple Música Uno will host Apple Music’s first-ever Día de Muertos celebration, a one-hour global takeover airing November 1 at 7am PST. Live on Apple’s Spanish-language station, Apple Música Uno, this will be an intimate and cinematic experience where friends and family join Carlos Eric Lopez to honor their roots, celebrate and showcase latin culture.
Carlos also sat down with Dannylux at the Apple Studios to discuss the meaning of Día de Muertos, and throughout the special, they received heartfelt tributes from celebrities dedicating songs to their dearly departed — including Willy Chavarría, Eva Longoria, Edgar Ramirez, Jessica Alba, Iván Cornejo, and Julián Peña from Grupo Frontera.
“I grew up surrounded by the soundtrack of our culture. The sound of gritos as my family sang to ‘El Rey’ by Vicente Fernández or danced to Selena in the garage. My cousins running around, my tía passing out tamales, the laughter, the love. Those moments shaped me. Now I lift my voice in their honor, and through Apple Música Uno, I want to share that feeling with the world.” – Carlos Eric Lopez
Listen live for free on Apple Música Uno at 7 AM PST on November 1 HERE and the encore at 4 PM PST.
