Hi-Tech Chic Launches COVID-19 Page

We wrote our first coronavirus article for Hi-Tech Chic after 2 French and Korean ex-pats based in Taiwan emailed us asking if we could review their new app (& the 1st on market), the “coronavirus app.” The 2 French and Korean Exp-pats created the app after being stuck in Taiwan as the pandemic grew. Since then we have received pitches 24/7 of coronavirus/ COVID-19 related apps, learning tools and consumer products. After realizing we were writing about the pandemic several times a week since January, we created the “COVID-19” page on Hi-Tech Chic.

The Coronavirus Tracking App

With the rate of those infected with the coronavirus rapidly growing the Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar announced on today that the coronavirus has been declared a public health emergency in the U.S. Per the announcement, starting February 2nd at 5 p.m., U.S. citizens returning from Hubei province will be subject to a 14-day quarantine. Also, other Americans who traveled elsewhere in China will be instructed to self-monitor for possible symptoms.

Sexual assault, as we all know in the United States, is a hot topic currently and it continues to evolve into a much larger crisis by the day. To date one in five women and one in seventy-one men will be a victim of sexual assault in their lifetime according to the CDC.
