The Merz b. Schwanen Autumn/Winter ’25 collection, HEADING HOME, honors the Earth and reconnects us with its natural rhythms by blending the essential craftsmanship with sustainability. Merz b. Schwanen took inspiration from the natural world — earthy tones such as LIGHT KHAKI, FADED GRAIN and NATURE, subtle greens like our seasonal color FOREST. They also incorporated warm neutrals like DUSTED KHAKI and richer earthy hues such as NUTA and TOFFEE, which echo the changing landscapes of autumn and winter.
For the HEADING HOME, Merz b. Schwanen worked with a range of tactile, textural fabrics. The collection is designed to evoke the experience of different haptics, from the plush softness of the velvety new SOFT FLEECE to the rich, comforting weight of two different kinds of CORDUROY for comfort and lightweight layering. The collection also features various knitwear in fine MERINO/SILK/CASHMERE blend to PURE MERINO, and RECYCLED CASHMERE. The brand also developed a padded all-natural double-layered fabric for our outerwear.
Layering is at the core of Merz b. Schwanen styling philosophy this season. The brand believes layers offer both warmth and freedom, allowing you to stay resilient, just like nature itself. Merz b. Schwanen worked with the Burel Factory, a historic textile workshop that shares our passion for tradition and craftsmanship. Situated in the picturesque mountains of Portugal, Burel’s wool is crafted using ancient looms, passed down through generations. The brand used this exceptional wool to create two timeless jackets, each embodying a dedication to quality and sustainability.
Sourced from sheep grazing the rugged Serra da Estrela Mountains, the wool carries a unique texture and depth that mirrors the raw beauty of its origin. This collaboration honors time-honored traditions while seamlessly weaving them into the fabric of modern craftsmanship.
