Product reviews and unboxings are one of my favorite things about writing for technology and so I jumped at the opportunity to review the RapidX Finish Line Gaming and Lifestyle Chair. A majority of the American population roughly spends between 7 -10 hours in front of a PC a day. Considering that many hours isn’t it smart to invest in the right chair that is not only comfortable but stylish? If that is what you’re looking for I found the perfect Gaming and Lifestyle Chair to fit your needs! Continue Reading →
I was just notified about a new Kickstarter Campaign announced today on a potential consumer product called Welle. In a world of “smart” everything, including tooth brushes, I have become rather jaded about the multitude of “smart” products on the market currently. Nothing seems to jump out to me anymore as a cool or innovative product with a market saturated with “smart” devices. I seriously got pitched on “smart” toilet paper holder, no joke! SXSW Interactive had so many great technology demos, events and parties that carried on through the entire festival, which has been rare in the years past. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to cover all the technology events; next year I should have a telepresence to cover everything I can’t. I didn’t make it to Youtube, Pandora, Capital One at the infamous Antone’s, OtterBox uniVERSE Case System, Mashable and many more.
While planning my SXSW schedule I picked out the below events based on my personal preferences. These four events were very fun and their lounges and or parties had a ton of interactive demos to try out during SXSW. Continue Reading →
Spa week from SpaWeek.com is a bi-annual event every April and October. During Spa Week hundreds of spa and wellness locations across North America provide two to three full-service spa treatments for just $50 each. I have participate almost every event, who doesn’t need to be pampered for only $50.00?
SXSW (South By South West) this year is the first year that I covered it solely for Hi-Tech Chic and it proved to be a very successful SXSW thus far as press. It was also the first time I did LIVE broadcasting via twitter and Facebook which was also an interesting experience for those listening, commenting and following my LIVE broadcast. I must admit cell coverage was non-existent during SX so I dropped the broadcast every so often. My apologies who got dropped off the broadcast and thanks for tuning in! Continue Reading →
I have never attended the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards before this year. I promise I always made a valiant effort but for those who have attended SXSW understand the events, films, and live music are overwhelming. Proudly this year folks “I MADE IT!”
It was held at the Austin downtown Hilton location which was very convenient to the Austin Convention Center. The ceremony was slow going and frankly not that entertaining then again it’s the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards so I should not be too harsh. Continue Reading →
