WiseWear‘s debut Socialite Collection ranges from $295  to $345 and showcases smart jewelry made with invisible electronics and sensors. Each bracelet serves as a safety device with it’s distress messaging feature. About WiseWear

The WiseWearr® headquarters is located in the heart of the medical district in San Antonio, Texas. The facility has space reserved for product design, development, prototyping, and low-rate manufacturing. Engineers have access to an array of professional design and development tools such as SolidWorks 3D CAD, MATLAB, CrossStudio for ARM, and Visual Studio to name a few. Fabrication capabilities support rapid prototyping efforts with immediate access to in-house CNC mill, multiple 3D printers, CO2 laser cutter, and various PCB prototyping equipment.

Design and verification of product concepts is accelerated using in-house equipment including custom anechoic chamber for RF testing, spectrum & network analyzers, Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Products can be tested and refined in-house prior to committing to expensive third party testing for regulatory compliance such as FCC Part 15 regulations.

The WiseWear Story

In October 2011, Jerry’s grandfather, Dominic Cameratta, fell in his home. He was unable to call for help and was left unheard for several hours. Tragically, he did not fully recover from this fall and passed away in December 2011.

Instead of accepting this occurrence as “just an accident,” Jerry, a Vanderbilt-trained biomedical engineering PhD, sought to “right this wrong” and solve this problem. In 2013, Jerry began building what would become WiseWear from his San Antonio garage with the goal of developing a family of connected IoT safety devices that could predict, prevent and alert their loved ones in times of potential danger.
