The Amazon Go Seattle Store Experience, with San Francisco and Chicago Locations To Be Announced

In January Amazon opened it’s first Amazon Go Store located at 2131 7th Ave, Seattle, WA, near the corner of 7th and Blanchard. The Amazon Go Store is just another unique shopping experience for Amazon customers.  The Amazon Go Seattle store is estimated to be 1,800 square feet of retail space to be conveniently compact so busy customers can get through faster.

Amazon Go store has no checkout required so customers don’t have to wait in lines making it easier to get in and out of the store. Customers simply use their Amazon account and download the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take the products you want, and exit. Their “Just Walk Out Technology” automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. When you’re done shopping, you can just leave the store. Shortly after, they’ll send you a receipt and charge your Amazon account. There will still be store associates to help customers find the items they need but no cashiers.

The Amazon Go store offers ready-to-eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack options made by their chefs, local kitchens and bakeries. The stores grocery essentials ranges from staples to artisan cheeses and locally made chocolates. They also offer quick home-cooked dinners options, chef-designed Amazon Meal Kits, with all the ingredients you need to make a meal for two in about 30 minutes.

There are now rumors of Amazon expanding its Amazon Go store to San Francisco and Chicago however they did not say when they would open. They have posted job listings for store managers in the two cities which were first noticed by the Seattle Times. Earlier reports from Curbed and the San Francisco Chronicle found clues that Amazon was eying retail space in the two cities. Time will tell when the next Amazon Go will open but looking forward to having one in Austin, Texas in the future!

You can find the Amazon Go app on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore. For more information about Amazon Go stores please visit: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=16008589011.
