SXSW 2022 Announces Music Festival Updates

South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals has announced updates for the 2022 SXSW Music Festival taking place from March 14th through the 20th in Austin, Texas. The annual Music Festival showcases are curated by South By Southwest® in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management and PR firms, export offices, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands, festivals, and more. After a digital SXSW in 2021, this year over 320 Showcasing Artists will be taking the stage LIVE at the SXSW 2022 Music Festival.

SXSW just announced their newly-added Showcasing Artists that include avant vocalist and composer Circuit Des Yeux; experimental noise poet Moor Mother; Southern hip-hop queen bbymutha; indie singer-songwriter, recently signed to Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory label Charlie Hickey; NYC rock trio Sunflower Bean; Italians Do it Better synth noir trio Desire; the ever-eclectic Shamir; and The Dream Syndicate‘s 40th band anniversary celebration.

Additionally,  London-based pan-continental retro surf-garage-indie party band Los Bitchos; electronic-embracing Brazilian indie group Tuyo; Barcelona’s indie-folk songstress Núria Graham; and many more were also announced.

Covid-19 Guidelines updated November 9: All credentialed SXSW participants will be required to provide proof of a recent negative Covid-19 test (or full vaccination against Covid-19 instead of a negative test) in order to collect and maintain their credentials. This policy remains subject to applicable laws and public health guidance, and SXSW will provide further information in early 2022.
