SXSW 2020 Submission Dates and Deadlines

SXSW 2020 planning season is in full swing even though the festival doesn’t start till March 13th! SXSW Festival happens annual in Austin, Texas and consists of Film, Music, Interactive, Gaming, Art, and SXSW EDU. This year SXSW will take place from March 13th through March 22nd with SXSW EDU running from March 9th through the 12th.

There are several submission dates to keep in mind for the entire festival along with the extension of SXSW PanelPicker. Below are the latest SXSW 2020 submission dates for SXSW Panel Picker, SXSW Film, SXSW Music, SXSW Interactive and SXSW EDU.

SXSW Panel Picker

Upload proposals related to music, film, and digital technologies in a variety of session formats including panels, solo presentations, workshops, podcasts, and more. The application process is simple: visit panelpicker.sxsw.com 

  • Final Extended Deadline: July 21 at 11:59 pm PT
  • Public Voting Runs: August 5-23

SXSW Film Festival Submissions

The SXSW Film Festival celebrates raw innovation and emerging talent from both behind and in front of the camera. Premiere your feature film, short, episodic, or VR/AR/MR project in front of the press, film industry leaders, and film lovers as well as tech and music professionals at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival.
