Tomorrow, March 8^th, marks the opening day for the 2019 edition of South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. It’s also International Women’s Day (IWD), a day that celebrates the achievements of women and its call to action for accelerating gender equality. In honor of IWD 2019, SXSW has partnered with the European Union and UN Women to host a day of programming, art, music, and films created by, for, and about all who identify as women or non-binary at the Palm Door on Sixth.

The International Women’s Day Celebration presented by European Union and UN Women at SXSW 2019 commences at 2:00pm and continues through 10:00pm. Before European Union and UN Women IWD event and during SXSW at the same venue there will be IWD events starting at 10am on the 8th as well.

The IWD 2019 after party will start at 10:00pm through 2:00am at the sweatlife house by lululemon where SXSW Registrants can dance the night away with DJs while enjoying drinks and light food.
