SXSW 2018 Gaming Festival takes place in the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas from Thursday, March 15 through Saturday, March 17. There are several new SXSW Gaming announcements that have been posted on SXSW’s site and below is a breakdown of what SXSW 2018 Gaming Festival will include thus far.
SXSW 2018 Gaming Featured Speakers Announced
SXSW 2018 Gaming Featured Speakers Announced SXSW announced the featured speaker to be Steve Arhancet, Team Liquid Owner and Co-CEO. Steve Arhancet joins previously announced SXSW Gaming featured speakers that include: Nate Nanzer (Overwatch League Commissioner), Christina Alejandre (Turner Sports’ ELEAGUE), Brendan Donohue (NBA 2K League) and Pete Vlastelica (CEO of Major League Gaming).
SXSW 2018 Gaming Organized Play Program
Attendees of the SXSW 2018 Gaming Awards now can host a play session with a game and format of your choice at one of the open play areas through the new Organized Play program. The 2018 SXSW Gaming Organized Play Program allows the SXSW Gaming community to contribute ideas for play activities that will be listed on the official schedule for all attendees to enjoy.
The SXSW 2018 Pitch Competition connects gaming industry veterans directly with gaming professionals in a private atmosphere to help build great pitches for new projects. Enter your game or game idea into the second annual SXSW Gaming Pitch Competition.
