Sun Records Collaborates with Pandora for New Radio Station Launching November 11th

Sun Records, the home of music legends like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, has collaborated with Pandora to create Sun Records Radio, a new station launching Friday, November 11. Curated exclusively for Pandora, the station will deliver the best of Sun Records’ iconic artists, round-the-clock exploring blues, rockabilly, rock and roll, country, and more.

Sun Records Radio launches as the label wraps a year-long campaign of 70th anniversary releases from artists like Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and more. Next from the legendary label is Johnny Adams’ South Side of Soul Street: The SSS Sessions (Remastered 2022), arriving at DSPs and on vinyl on November 11.

Chris Isaak’s Beyond The Sun also recently arrived to DSPs on October 28. Originally released in 2011, Beyond The Sun pays tribute to the label he loves with his unique takes on Sun classics originally recorded by artists like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and more. Isaak revisits the music that inspired him to become a musician in the room where it happened, with these tracks recorded live in Sun Studio in Memphis, TN.

Sun Records has also welcomed guest curators to create a series of celebratory compilations in honor of the 70th Anniversary. Sun Records’ 70th Anniversary Compilation, Vol 3 (Curated by Ben Vaughn) arrives November 13, featuring deep cuts from the Sun vaults selected by musician, composer, and radio personality Ben Vaughn. Sun Records’ 70th Anniversary Compilation, Vol 4 (Curated by Jerry Phillips), the final compilation in the series, arrives December 9. Jerry Phillips is the son of Sun Records’ founder and rock ‘n’ roll visionary Sam Phillips. Previous compilations were curated by Chris Isaak and a select group of industry-leading music supervisors.
