STAPLES Center to be the First Arena to Offer Mixhalo Powered Events

Mixhalo, the real-time audio platform for venues and event organizers, has partnered with STAPLES Center for fans to have the ultimate in-ear audio experience, regardless of their seat. This will be Mixhalo’s permanent installation at the multi-use arena after launching in Las Vegas for the “Dueces are Wild” Aerosmith residency. During Mixhalo-powered event, attendees use their phone, headphones and a free mobile app to create an audio experience that puts them in control of what they hear. Besides the impeccable in-ear audio experience, fans also do not have to rely on the venue’s WiFi. After my Mixhalo experience during the Aerosmith show, I can say first hand that fans and music lovers are in for a treat.

How Mixhalo Works

Mixhalo’s low-latency, network-based data delivery platform consists of three key parts:

  • A proprietary server connecting directly to an audio mixer or public address system
  • A custom wireless solution using our own closed WiFi network
  • A mobile app delivering audio directly to attendees’ own phones

With Mixhalo installation in place, the STAPLES Center and Mixhalo teams have begun a rigorous fine-tuning of the system including seeking the input of the arena’s home teams, artists, agents, managers, promoters and other STAPLES Center clients to develop customized experiences for their specific guests. For more background on the unique audio experiences, Mixhalo can provide, visit the music, sports, conferences, public events and interpretation demos.

For a large arena deployment, Mixhalo deploys its wireless solution through scalable antennas, designed from the ground up for real-time data transmission with, theoretically, an unlimited number of connected clients on the receiving end. Live event organizers and venues like STAPLES Center then connect the server to their sound mixer or PA system and tap into the network to transmit the sound.

As a result, every seat – from the event floor to the last row of the upper bowl – has access to better, more immersive audio, transforming the live event experience. Applications for the platform are extensive, and include: Concerts and Festivals; Conferences and Trade Shows; E-sports and Sporting Events; Interpretation Services; Museums, Megachurches and more.
