Last week at New York Bridal Fashion Week, Sheila Frank, the designer behind Chrissy Metz’s Oscar 2022 dress, introduced her new 2023 bridal collection Victorian Modernism. Sheila Frank’s new made-to-order all-inclusive Victorian Modernism collection features sizes from 2 through 26.
For this season, Frank explored Victorian Menswear from the pre-Victorian 1830s to the late 1890s. Each look is designed with a garment in mind from the frock coat, waistcoat, and shirt variations to the cravat. Fabrics include matte and shiny satin, crepe, tulle, and beaded mesh.
Gowns are adorned with bronze and gold buttons and styled with pressed flower pendant necklaces and belts. Frank explored the idea of vintage meets modern with clean lines and pleated fabrics that flatter the female form.
The collection featured gently draped fabrics, discreet bustles, complimentary accouterments and sweeping trains all taking inspiration from the classic Victorian dress.
Gown pricing begins at $2,125 and all are made to order in Sheila’s atelier in Pennsylvania.
