Ovis, the world’s first vision-powered side-follow carry-on is now live on Indiegogo. The suitcase is TSA approved, has a removable battery and can charge on-the-go. Ovis’s Qualcomm snapdragon 835 Chip runs artificial neural network for Computer Vision algorithms which allows Ovis to follow automatically & avoid obstacles while in motion.
Ovis is able to stay by your side, hands free, at all times so you don’t have to constantly look over your shoulder to see your luggage at the airport. Through a series of algorithms the AI technology in the Ovis gives it the ability to not only “see” as we do, but comprehend what it is seeing. Interestingly enough, the obstacle avoidance algorithm of Ovis is based on self-driving technology.
Ovis is able to accurately sense and assess the environment, calculate the distance, and estimate the direction and route with a deviation precision of +/- 1cm. The Ovis is easy to operate; with the press of one button you can pop out the battery, go through security and then pop it back into the suitcase. More specific features of the Ovis suitcase include:
