NYFW ‘concept korea’ Show Recap: IISE Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

The IISE Spring/Summer 2020 Collection was during the ‘concept korea’ show at New York Fashion Week. IISE which translate to 2nd generation is a brand dedicated to creating products with a street interpretation of Korean heritage.

Each piece is made in Seoul with Korean fabrics, techniques and a mix of modern and traditional design aesthetics. Using high-quality materials and a focus on craftsmanship, IISE strives to create wardrobe staples with special characteristics that make each piece uniquely IISE.

In the Spring/Summer 2020 show, IISE focused on reimagining itself as a dominating corporate entity in South Korea.

Tackling the reality and power of Korean “Chaebol’s” or family-controlled corporate groups, IISE explores the idea of corporate presence in Korean society and reinterprets uniforms in each of its subsidiary companies: IISE Chemical/ Pharmaceuticals Division, IISE Heavy Industries and it’s mother company IISE CORP.

The Spring/Summer 2020 Collection examines the facets or large corporations and their involvement in the country’s progression as well as it’s dominating control over all the major industries and it’s citizens.

The stylist of the IISE Spring/Summer 2020 Collection was styled by Matthew Henson and the shoes were provided by Nike.
