Nominate A U.S. Patent Holder For National Inventors Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019

Recently announced the National Inventors Hall of Fame®, in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), is accepting nominations for its 2019 Class of Inductees. Per the announcement nominees must hold a U.S. patent for an invention that has contributed to the progress of science and the useful arts, as well as our nation’s welfare.

Anyone has the power to nominate a potential National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee. Ideal candidates embody stories of perseverance and passion that will inspire the next generation of American innovators.

The National Inventors Hall of Fame accepts nominations from all sources and relies on a panel of experts in science, technology, engineering, and patents to screen, vet, and make final selections.

Nominations are evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Patents: Nominees must hold a U.S patent for an invention that has contributed to and advanced society
  • Progressive: The invention should have contributed significantly to industry, progressing it forward and improving it
  • Perseverance: The lives of nominees are characterized by inspiring stories of determination, challenges overcome, and beating the odds
  • Passion: Nominees are leaders in their fields who understand the importance of developing the next generation of American innovators
