Second Round of Featured SXSW Gaming Speakers Announced
SXSW Gaming announced the next round of Featured Speakers for 2019 focusing on these opportunities, alongside other industry experts and veterans in the Esports Industry Track.
SXSW Gaming Speakers include:
- Constance Steinkuehler (Professor of Informatics)
- Mark Deppe (Director of Esports) from the University of California Irvine
- Michael Prindiville (CEO of Dignitas)
- Peter Levin (President of Interactive Ventures in Games and Digital Strategy of Lionsgate)
Attendees will get to learn more about how this year’s sessions will explore the growing influence of esports, sharing insights on how it will impact not only everyday gaming culture and business but creative industries far beyond the normal reach of games.

First Wave of Mentors Announced for SXSW EDU
The mentor program at SXSW EDU facilitates purpose-driven, one-on-one connections between experienced professionals and solution-seeking attendees. Mentors range from classroom teachers and professors to industry insiders and CEOs. Registered attendees will be given the opportunity to sign up for a 12-minute meeting with a mentor beginning in February through the SXSW EDU schedule.
