Today BrightCharger®, a company from Helsinki, Finland, launched their Indiegogo campaign with a goal of $10,000 to be reached over the next month. In their first hours of launching the Indiegogo campaign they have already raised $3,918 leaving only $6,082 needed to reach their goal within the month.
BrightCharger® is an intelligent (5V 1A) design charger that automatically stops devices from charging when their batteries are full, which saves energy, protects battery lifespans and decreases the risk of overheating. The dual active device also functions as a low energy consumption nightlight. Compatible with all devices that charge via USB cables.
The latest estimates currently place the number of mobile devices at 12 billion globally. The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s recently released International Energy Outlook 2016 that projects the world energy consumption will grow by 48% between 2012 and 2040. Renewables and nuclear power are the world’s fastest-growing energy sources over the projection period. Renewable energy increases by an average 2.6% per year through 2040; nuclear power increases by 2.3% per year.
