One of the latest smart home trends for the past couple years has been video doorbells that increase your security using their app to view who is at the door. They are easy to install and the sense of safety you get from installing a video doorbell is worth it. One of the newest video doorbell launched this year in March was the Nest Hello.

Nest Hello is a hardwired smart video doorbell with facial recognition. It was developed to replace your existing wired doorbell to deliver HD video and bright, crisp images, even at night to your smartphone.  Nest Hello is designed to show you everything at your doorstep from people head to toe or packages on the ground. It has 24/7 LIVE streaming that you can check in anytime or you can go back and look at a 3-hour snapshot history to see what happened.

I recently decided to get a video doorbell since I had some unsafe situations happen at my thought was safe condo. After researching which one would fit my safety needs I decided on Nest Hello Video Doorbell.

Installation of the Nest Hello and the downloading of their App is key. Installation of the Nest can be easily by yourself by following the instructions in the box if your tech saavy.

The APP was easy to set up after installation and before you know it you are going live seeing all the motions and people passing your front door. The options on the dashboard include the live feed, Quiet Time Option, Talk (to the person at your door), make a clip and see how many people coming to your door.

The live feed recently helped me out when an unknown person was knocking on my door like a crazy person and paced out in front of the door for an hour. If it was for the Nest Hello Video Door Bell I’m not sure what would have happened!
