National Small Business Week 2018

In 1963 the President of the United States issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week that recognizes the contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This year’s National Small Business Week has been from April 29th and continuing to May 5th, 2018. Did you know that more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year? With the growth of technology, remote workspaces and growth of local businesses I predict this will increase by next year. During National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories.

Though we only have 3 days left of National Small Business Week you can still make an impact. Instead of going online to shop why not shop at the local small business within your area. These small businesses are so important for the growth of the community in your area. As a small business owner, I know how important it is to have support.

There is only a day and a half left to tune into the webinars hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE Association for free! The 3-Day Virtual Conference will take place Tuesday, May 1 – Thursday, May 3 between 12:30 pm ET – 6:30 pm ET each day. Registration is free to the public.
