Media Personalities To Star In Texas’ Funniest Reporter Show To Raise Money For Charity

The Texas’s Funniest Reporter Show (www.txfunniestreporter.com) will take place on Sunday, September  17th @ 7:30 pm. The venue is Cap City Comedy Club (8120 Research Blvd Suite 100), in my hometown, Austin. Comedian Julie McCullough will be the show’s emcee.

The show will feature seven Austin media professionals each doing five minutes of stand-up comedy in order to raise money for the Mainstream Mental Health (http://www.mainstreammentalhealth.org/ ). At the end of the night, a winner will be declared.

Show participants include:

Kate Delaney | America Tonight Radio (Dallas Based)

Kate Delaney aka “The Sports Princess” is host of the nationally syndicated America Tonight radio program. Delaney is also author of the new book “Invade the Man Cave: Sports Secrets Guys Don’t Share”. Delaney is an award winning broadcast personality who has interviewed over 12,000 people in 20 years in her radio and television career. She has also covered 15 Super Bowls, 10 U.S. Opens, 15 Final Fours, World Series Games, and a plethora of sporting events.

 Chase Hoffberger | Politics Editor at the Austin Chronicle

Prior to the Austin Chronical, he covered the police and criminal justice as a staff writer at the same paper. Chase is from Baltimore, Maryland, and spends his free time working on his yard, cooking, and worry about the Orioles’ pitching.

Jordan Bontke | CBS TV Austin (KEYE TV)- Multimedia Journalist

Jordan Bontke joined CBS Austin as a Multimedia Journalist in April 2016 and couldn’t be happier to do what he loves everyday for the Central Texas community. He was Born and raised in Northwest Houston & is an avid Astros, Rockets and Texans fan. On his day’s off, you may find him looking for vintage guitars, on run at Lady Bird Lake or gaining those calories back at Home Slice Pizza or Juan in a Million.

Michael Perchick | News Reporter at KVUE TV- ABC

Michael Perchick joined KVUE as a news reporter in 2015. Before coming to Austin, he honed his craft at WAPT, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi as a news/sports reporter and producer. Originally from New Jersey, Michael is excited to work in one of the fastest-growing areas in the country, and tell stories that matter to viewers throughout Central Texas
