I Love The 90s Tour Artists to Honor Coolio at Haute Spot with Free Livestream Tribute

This weekend, the Sirius XM’s ‘90s on 9 Presents I Love The 90s Tour featuring Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, All 4 One, Tone Loc and Young MC will honor Coolio, who was also part of the tour before his untimely death. As reported across many news platforms, Coolio was found unresponsive at a friend’s home on September 28, 2022, after suffering a heart attack. 

On October 9, 2022, the I Love The 90s show will feature a tribute to Coolio and the entire show will be live-streamed for free from Haute Spot, in Austin, Texas, via VanillaIce.com. Donations from the event will benefit Coolio’s family. The livestream is presented courtesy of Universal Attractions Agency and Lightstream Media, the multimedia production arm of Lightstream Presents.

Vanilla Ice says regarding the loss of his very close friend, “This is going to be a very tough weekend for me, in fact extremely tough. I just listened to Coolio’s songs and I am super emotional. I just spoke to his son and his band members. I’m going to get through this, but needed this tribute to Coolio to be very special.”

About Coolio:

Artis Leon Ivey Jr. known professionally as Coolio, was an American rapper who first rose to fame as a member of the gangsta rap group WC and the Maad Circle and achieved mainstream success as a solo artist in the mid-to-late 1990s. He is best known for his 1995 Grammy Award-winning hit single “Gangsta’s Paradise”, as well as other singles “Fantastic Voyage” (1About Coolio:994), “1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New)” (1996), and “C U When U Get There” (1997). From 1996 on, Coolio released albums independently, and provided the opening track “Aw, Here It Goes!” for the 1996 Nickelodeon television series Kenan & Kel. He created the web series Cookin’ with Coolio and released a cookbook.
