Announced this week, EZVIZ, a global smart home security brand, has launched their C6W 360° Pan & Tilt camera in the United States at Walmart for $89.99. The C6W Pan & Tilt camera gives consumers an elegant and stylish smart home camera that automatically tracks motion in 4x zoom and records in 2K resolution to cover all areas of the room.
Ensuring that every area and corner is covered and protected, the EZVIZ C6W provides expansive 360° panoramic views of the room it is placed in. Able to pan up to 340° and tilt 75° with a self-adaptive shutter, 1/2.7” Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor and F2.0 lens and recording with 2K resolution, the C6W shows images and clips in crisp details even in 4x digital zoom.
The auto-zoom tracking function can be enabled to allow the camera to automatically zoom up to 4 times to track a moving object so users can easily see what is happening when they are viewing live in the app. This can also be set to only track human motion with the built-in AI Person Detection so that notifications aren’t being triggered by a pet!
Using sensor-based True-WDR technology, the C6W eliminates overexposure or underexposure in high-contrast scenes to deliver evenly-bright images whether it is day or night. Featuring two powerful infrared lights, the camera can render sharp night time images up to 10 meters away. It will automatically switch between day and night vision so users can rest assured that their home and belongings are protected 24/7 without any effort on their part.
With advanced H.265 video compression technology, the camera can achieve better video quality using only half the bandwidth and storage space of the previous H.264 compression standard. Having multiple storage options, users can choose where to save their recordings.
The camera can save to all three locations at the same time if preferred for added backup in case of a network crash or damage to the camera. Supporting a 256GB MicroSD card and Encrypted Cloud Storage, there is plenty of room to hold any important clips.
The data transmission between the camera and the EZVIZ cloud is also encrypted from end to end using AES 128-bit encryption and TLS encryption protocol allowing only the user to decrypt the data, putting the privacy and protection of data at the highest priority.
Using a Privacy Shutter and multiple authentication steps, it is strong and reliable confirmed by the ISO/IEC 29151:2017 certification for its personally identifiable information (PII) protection which was awarded on Feb 2020, by DNV GL, an international certification authority. The camera also has a two-way talk function that can be accessed through the EZVIZ app. This allows users to have a two-way conversation through the app and the camera so homeowners can call home as per a normal phone call but with the added benefit of being able to see those at home at the same time.
The app gives the option to capture, save, protect and share any clips so that any important footage in the event of a break-in can be protected for evidence or even any funny clips from pets or kids can be shared with friends and family. With Live View, Instant Alerts and Video History, it is easy to view videos quickly and easily.
The C6W, as well as a lot of the other EZVIZ products, is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Users can operate EZVIZ cameras by simply speaking to the third-party voice assistants, which could include turning off motion detection when they arrive home or displaying the video feed on a smart home display.
